By using active learning techniques in a flipped class, Dr. Gail Ryser transformed her doctoral-level research design and analysis course from a passive lecture-based class to one where students are actively involved in their learning.
Dr. Ryser shared her experiences in teaching the class during a Faculty Showcase. Dr. Ryser is Director of the Testing, Research Support, and Evaluation Center. She is also a Research Fellow and Project Manager for the Initiative for Interdisciplinary Research Design and Analysis at Texas State University. In these roles she provides support to faculty at Texas State who have research questions on quantitative methodology topics.
