Laura Ellis-Lai - Using Rubrics for Grading

Faculty Showcase - Saving Time by Grading with Rubrics

For Lecturer Laura Ellis-Lai, teaching a writing-intensive English course requires reading numerous essays and providing detailed feedback to students so that they can improve their writing.  Ellis-Lai discovered that rubrics can help speed up the process. In a faculty showcase, sponsored by Instructional Technologies Support, Ellis-Lai shared her rubrics and described the ways in which she uses them with her students.
