Webinar: April 8, 2016

Difficult student behaviors can surface in an online class.  The challenge is how to deal with such behaviors that may include a lack of basic manners, rude comments, demands for instant responses, or expectations for special treatment.

Dr. Matthew Eichler, associate professor of Occupational, Workforce, and Leadership Studies (OWLS) and chair of Texas State University's Distance and Extended Learning Steering Committee spoke on this topic at a Faculty Showcase in April 2016.

Dr. Eichler shared the specific steps he takes to set a respectful tone for his online courses, how he keeps lines of communication open, how he handles feedback to students and how he celebrates success.
