A project is a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service or result. It has a defined beginning and end in time, and therefore defined scope and resources. A project is unique in that it is not a routine operation. A project is characterized by well-defined parameters, specific objectives, common benefits, planned activities, a scheduled completion date, and an established budget with a specified source of resources and funding.
