Camtasia Relay

What is Camtasia Relay?

Camtasia Relay allows users to create screencast videos with just a computer and USB mic.

All lecture classroom computers have the software pre-installed and it can be freely added to any personal computer.
Once recorded, the video is automatically produced and available for viewing online.

Students can record presentations as a guest of an instructor and send them to the instructors Camtasia Relay Account for their private review.

Popular uses of Camtasia Relay include recording of full-length lectures, recording mini-lectures and reviews, and recording student presentations.

Request a Camtasia Relay Account

Camtasia Relay recordings cannot be created until you have an active Camtasia Relay Account.

To request a Camtasia Relay account, please fill out this brief form.

Once your account has been created, an email notification will be sent with instructions on getting started with Camtasia Relay.

Access To Camtasia Relay Recordings

Camtasia Relay videos can be viewed from any Web browser with an Internet connection. 
 
To view recordings on portable devices such as iphones, ipads and droids, remove the ".html" and replace it with ".mp4".
 

Off Campus Recording

Using Camtasia Relay for off campus recording requires a high speed internet connection.
 
If you do not have a cable Internet connection (DSL not recommended) you should download the Camtasia Relay portable recorder on to a USB drive and bring your recordings to campus.

Support

Camtasia Relay may be run on the following operating systems:

  • Windows XP, Vista, 7
  • Mac OS 10.6 & Later
