If you're unable to get into a Connect Room from the provided link, contact Learning Applications Solutions at (512) 245-5566. We'll be able to locate the correct URL for you.
When links are copied out of BobcatMail in a certain way, they occasionally end up with instructions to return to BobcatMail first. This happens often with links to Connect Classrooms, as they're sent via email.
Have your professor contact us as well and we can help ensure your professor gets the proper link.
The Add-In provides additional functionality that instructors may need while teaching. Students will not need these features. If the Adobe Connect Room does not launch within your web browser, the Add-In might be needed. Contact Learning Applications Solutions via Live Chat and we will investigate using remote support on your computer.
Before your session begins, make sure you run the Audio Setup Wizard. You can see this demonstrated in the Adobe Connect Classroom video on this page.
If you can't hear any audio during the playback test in the Wizard, start by increasing your system volume. You may have inline volume controls on your headset that will adjust this. If your headset has an on-off switch, make sure this is on.
If you still cannot hear anything, you may need to change your audio output device. See the FAQ that corresponds to your operating system on this page.
If you can hear audio within the Audio Setup Wizard, but not after that, check the speaker icon on the Connect room's toolbar. It should look like this:
Echo happens when someone is using their speakers for audio output, typically along with a built-in microphone. The microphone hears the audio coming from the speaker and sends it back out to the room.
If you are the person with this set-up, follow the FAQ to change your audio output device in your operating system. If you only have a built-in microphone, plug in a pair of analog headphones. This should reroute audio automatically to those headphones and eliminate the echo.
If you're set up properly and someone else is creating echo, politely ask in the Chat pod for that person to use headphones.
