Workshops

Make the transition to TRACS

TRACS workshops are being offered on various topics.  In addition to live face-to-face workshops, we are also offering live on-line workshops for those who cannot make it to the Texas State campus for training.

See the workshop schedule below for times and dates.

Be sure to enter your name, contact information, and preferred operating system (PC or Mac).  Reminder emails will be sent the day before the workshop to the email address you provided.  If the workshop is full or canceled you will be notified via email. **After you register, please make a note on your calendar to remind yourself to attend the workshop!

Assessments in TRACS

This workshop will teach users how to create, edit, administer, and grade assessments in TRACS.

Communication tools in TRACS

This workshop will teach participants how to use the email tools in TRACS as well as how to create discussion boards, announcements, and blogs in TRACS.

Learning Modules

This workshop will teach users how to utilize the learning module tool.  A learning module is the building block of your lesson. A module consists of one module page and one or more content sections which creates breadcrumb links to other sections of the same module for easy navigation.

Using Resources in TRACS

This workshop will teach how to effectively use the resources tool in TRACS.  Participants will learn how to add folders, documents, HTML pages, and how to use WebDAV to drag and drop files and folders to their sites.

Grading in TRACS

This workshop will teach users how to create gradebook entries as well as categorize and weight gradebook entries.  We will also learn how to use the Postem tool in this workshop.

TRACS info session

This is NOT a workshop.  This is an info session designed to teach you about what TRACS can do and to answer your questions about the system.

TRACS Open Lab

Open labs are designed for users to come and go as they please and get answers to their questions from TRACS support specialists.  Feel free to come in and ask questions about TRACS!

TRACS Refresher

This is a workshop designed for people who already know how to use TRACS but have forgotten a few things.  We will quickly go through the most basic tools of TRACS, including basic gradebook functions, and answer questions you may have.
